Recent and updated records have a total of 24 orders, 87 families and 1865 bird species from which 118 are endemic species. During the last years, new species have been described and registered. We have many important international points for migration ARTICO/ANTARTICO. According to scientific publications in Peru, it is possible to visit 150 important destinations to watchbird. Our territory has 60 natural protected areas, 12 Ramsar sites and 130 IBAs (important areas to preserve birds).
Certainly, Peru is a very important destination to observe birds seriously and experimentally, but also a spectacular and unique destination for beginners.
